Sensor Spray-Painting Process and Acceptance Standard

A. Process requirements

1.

Visual examination Check the external appearance of the sensors; they should be leveled up, without any burr fins, blowholes or pits.

2.

Putting sensors on the board Insert the sensors into the spray-painting board, do not press the lead, and press the sensors into their position, so as to avoid the paint dropping from the edge.

3.

Burnishing Burnish the sensor surface with vegetable-sponge cloth to insure cohesiveness after spray-painting, and pay attention to even and rotation exertion while burnishing. The top and edge should be well burnished, but should not have any clear burnished scars. An air gun shall be used to clean up residues after burnishing.

4.

Cleaning sensors Wipe off the mold discharging agent with isopropyl alcohol on the surface of the plastic parts and then clean them with oil removing agent and dust removal cloth to guarantee the sensor surface is clean.

5.

Cleaning the spray-painting board Use the air gun to blow the top and edges of the spray-painting board from the different angles repeatedly, to guarantee that there is not any dust on the spray-painting board.

6.

Spraying primer Plastics primer is to be sprayed evenly, especially to guarantee that the top edge of the sensors shall be well painted. The next step will be taken after they are dried under normal temperature for 20 minutes from completion of the last step.

7.

Spraying color paint Color paining will be evenly sprayed on the surface and the top edge of sensors more than three times, to insure every part is completely covered with a coat of paint, which shall be glabrous and good-looking. The next step will be taken after they are dried under normal temperature for 20 minutes from completion of the last step.

8.

Spraying varnish If needing duplex operation of color spray-painting, varnish shall be sprayed after the last step is completed. The requirement is the same as above.

9.

Baking paint After spray-painting completion, bake-painting should be done according to the automobile process standard. The temperature of bake-painting is 65?(149F) and the time is 30 minutes.

10.

Examination and packing after taking off from the board After the painting surface is completely dried, examination will be carried out after sensors are taking off from the board. When they are taken off from the board, attention should be taken not to touch them with hands and not knock them over. The sensor surface should be glabrous, smooth, without cedrate, dirty points and pits.

B. Acceptance standard

1.

Color According to the requirement of spray-painting, there shall not be any visible color difference compared to the standard template.

2.
Paint surface Glabrous, smooth, even thickness, without any blemishes or visible dirty points.

Precautions:
1. Do not block the small grove between inner core sensor and outer plastic housing

2. Do not bake the sensor more than 65 degrees Celsius (149 F)
